Educational Activities

:

·        During my work in king Hussein Medical Centre, I was responsible for teaching of pediatric residents and medical students from the Jordan University Hospital and I was responsible for organization of the teaching programme.

During that time I shared the research about a Jordanian family with adrenoleukodystrophy which was presented in meeting of the Jordanian Medical Association in 1986.

 

 

·        In United Kingdom, I took part in the various educational activities including teaching of the final year students from Edinburgh University.

 

 

·        At King Faisal specialist Hospital and Research Centre, I was Assistant to the Director of Education Programe and I was responsible for supervision of all academic activities in the Department.

 

 

·        During my work in Islamic Hospital in Amman, Initially I was director of teaching programe, then I was promoted as head of Department, during this period I constructed a new tertiary Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level III) with twenty six incubators and a capacity of five ventilators, the unit recruited very sick babies from other hospitals and those who are born in the same hospital and it is considered as one of the high standard units in the country.

Also I established an organized teaching program for pediatric residency, during this period the Department was recognized as teaching centre for post graduate residents in pediatrics by Pan-Arab Board.

 

 

 

·        After I ended my work in Islamic Hospital and started my private practice, I continued to participate in the teaching activities in the Islamic Hospital, I also participate actively in the teaching of pediatrics residents in Jordan Hospital.

 

 

·        From 1993 till now I am a member of the Pediatric Scientific Committee of Jordan Medical Council which is the highest Committee in Jordan responsible for evaluation of teaching programs in the teaching hospitals, evaluation of all pediatric degrees obtained from countries outside Jordan and for the award of specialty degree of pediatrics
